There are two airports in Tenerife – Tenerife South Airport and Tenerife North Airport. Both Irish airlines Aer Lingus and Ryanair fly into Tenerife South. Aer Lingus offer flights from Dublin Airport, Belfast International Airport (starting Sept 2009) and Cork Airport (starting Oct 1st). They will also offer a Gatwick service to Tenerife beginning on Oct 25th 2009.

Ryanair offer flights from Dublin and Shannon Airports and also have services from the UK – Liverpool, Stansted, East Midlands and Glasgow. It is a seventy kilometre drive to get from one airport to the other.  Shuttle buses are available from the airport as well as taxis. Expect to pay about a twenty euro taxi fare to get to Playa de Las Americas and a sixty five euro fare if travelling to the north airport.
