Lanzarote is the fourth largest of the Canary Islands. It is located one hundred and twenty five miles off the African coast. Lanzarote Airport or Arrecife Airport served almost five and a half million passengers in 2008 and is the tenth busiest Spanish Airport. Germans refer to the airport as Lanzarote Flughafen.
