The official name of Granada Airport is Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén Airport named after the renowned local poet. It can be found fifteen kilometres from Granada City close to the town of Santa Fe. Traffic has increased substantially over the last few years due to the arrival of low cost airlines.
Ryanair offer flights from Granada Airport to Girona, Liverpool, Madrid, Milan, East Midlands and Bologna. The other flights are all domestic routes offered by Air Europa, Iberia, Vueling Airlines and Spanair to locations such as Barcelona, Mallorca and Madrid.
